
Are you Ready for Summer? The Lake is ready for you to experience a little blast of summer in January!! At the Toronto International Boat Show you can leave the bulky winter clothing at home, relax lakeside, and enjoy the engineering marvel – known as The Lake.
Grab a seat on shore to watch professional wakeboarders, wakeskaters and waterskiers perform tricks and flips; or join the fun and take a FREE ride in canoe, kayak, or paddleboat.
More fun to be had on The Lake, onsite sign up for wakeboard and waterski lessons from the experts or in advance register for Discover Boating Hands-on-Skills Training.

Guided by expert instructors from Summer Water Sports, Canada's largest watersports school, you can receive hands-on wakeboarding or waterskiing instruction "on shore." Then take that learning right onto The Lake – and try out your new skills behind Ontario's first Sesitec System 2.0!
When you arrive at the show, make your way to the east entrance to The Lake (connected to Cottage Country) to sign up. There are two one-hour sessions each day, with participation on a first-come, first-served basis.
Some experience is necessary, and boards, waterskis, dry suits and lifejackets will be provided. All you have to bring is your adventurous spirit!
Note to parents: Even with dry suits, there is no guarantee that kids will stay 100% dry. You may want to bring a bathing suit for them to wear under the dry suit.

Get Ready as the wakeboard team celebrates 150 years of Canadian Summers!!
Catch the action on The Lake, with pro wakeboard/wakeskate riders wowing audiences with their spectacular grinds, tricks, and flips! Watch as they launch off The Lake's official dock (provided by EZ Dock) to hit the rails and test their skills and athletic ability!
Meet & Greet! Drop by the Boarder Pass Both E106 in Cottage Country after each show to meet the riders and learn more about the sport!

Nothing beats hands-on experience for improving your boating skills or learning new ones. This year's show features hands-on, on-the-water boating workshops at “The Lake.” Discover Boating presents three different Hands-on Skills Training CLINICS for powerboaters at the Toronto International Boat Show, January 20-29, 2017. Delivered in partnership with trainers who have been educated in the Hands-On Skills Training program, our aim is to make boating more accessible, safe and enjoyable for everyone!
There's something for everyone — from absolute beginners to seasoned skippers! You'll learn our pro tips: All sessions are taught by skilled on-water trainers.

Get set to Discover Boating: From kayaking, to canoeing and paddleboats, The Lake welcomes all levels and types of boaters!
Each year, crowds flock to this popular feature, so we encourage you to drop by The Lake as soon as you arrive at the show to sign up for your FREE boat ride on the water! (Sign-up is at The Lake entrance at the east side connected to Cottage Country.)
For your boating safety, be sure to get your life jacket supplied by Mustang Survival, then make your way across The Lake's official dock (provided by EZ Dock) and you are all set to chase away those mid-winter blues!
Then visit BOATsmart Canada before heading back out onto the show floor, for information on boating safety and writing your exam to secure your Pleasure Craft Operator Card.

Each day at The Lake enjoy stand up paddle board demonstrations by the experts at Swift Canoe & Kayak and Blu Wave SUP and New this year, Hobie Eclipse, Pedal Board demos.
Stand up Paddle and Pedal continues to grow in popularity around the lakes and rivers. A great work out and fun too!
Canoe and kayak seminars are scheduled daily on The Lake by the experts at Swift Canoe & Kayak and Clearwater Design.
